Coring and Reinstatement
Coring and Reinstatement is a process by which small circular openings (12-24”) are made in the surface of a roadway or sidewalk for the purpose of daylighting, servicing existing infrastructure, or soil testing. Utilizing specialized equipment hard surfaces can be cut and re-instated quickly and at a lower cost than traditional methods. Coring is an efficient alternative to open cut methods, and cores can be safely secured with a metal plate when not in use. When it comes to reinstating the cores, our technicians have the ability to re-instate concrete or asphalt to nearly original condition.
Applications
• Daylighting under hard surfaces
• Water and gas valve box installation
• Pot holing
• Soil testing
• Pole installation
