Horizontal Directional Drilling

SG-5T2A2552_1.png

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is a trenchless method of installing underground utilities such as pipe, conduit, or cables. Also known as directional boring, HDD makes it possible to install underground conduit seamlessly, without the damage to existing landscaping that typically occurs when installing infrastructure by traditional open-cut methods.

Directional boring can be utilized in congested urban areas, under parking lots, driveways, roads, highways, and even bodies of water.

At Southview, our experienced crews can safely install up to 400M of conduit in a single day, dependent on-site conditions.

Applications
• Pipeline rehabilitation
• Cable and conduit installation for telecommunications
• Buried electrical line installations
• Gas, Water, and Sewer pipe installation
• Horizontal environmental remediation wells and water wells
